13 to 30

| Alumni

Have you ever had a conversation with a 13-year-old? Interesting, isn’t it? So the question comes to mind, How do you guide a child from age 13 to 30 and keep him or her in a Christ-centered lifestyle? Right in the middle of that span of time comes the tipping point: age 18!

That’s where Trevecca Nazarene University comes in. What better place for an 18-year-old—or a student of any age for that matter—to discover what God wants him or her to be? What better place to experience “the collective wisdom of the academy,” the shared wisdom and experiences of professors who care, and mentors, administrators and cohorts who challenge and encourage?

I just returned from Trevecca Nazarene University’s spring Board of Trustees meeting. It was wonderful, and the University is on a very positive trajectory. Enrollment is up; student retention is strong; and the financial picture is brighter than ever.

So, let’s celebrate our University more loudly.

Your Trevecca Alumni Board meets May 20 and 21 on campus. We are working hard to expand alumni involvement. We welcome your comments and suggestions. Send them to me at don@donhastings.net or call me at 850-602-7230. You can also contact the alumni rep in your area or email alumni relations at alumni@trevecca.edu. The alumni office can be reached at 615-248-7735.

Trevecca must continue to be rooted in our history yet innovative in our approach.

Commencement is May 7, 2016, on the Hill. If you’re on campus, make sure I get an opportunity to see you.

May all who come behind us find us faithful,

Don Hastings
President
Trevecca Alumni Board
