If you’re considering getting your graduate degree, but your college experience is well in the past, you aren’t alone. At Trevecca, many of our graduate students enter our programs several years after receiving their bachelor’s degrees. And quite a few of them are worried they no longer have what it takes to handle the rigors of academic life. Rest assured, while that fear is common, we have designed our programs to ease you into returning to school.

Surviving and Thriving

At Trevecca, we are committed to helping you succeed and graduate. It’s what we do. We don’t just want you to survive getting your graduate degree, we want you to thrive while you do it. We’ve built in support every step of the way: from how we design our coursework to the support of your professors and classmates. Everything is designed to help you reach your goals.

At the foundation of this support structure is how we’ve built our coursework. You’ll tackle your degree program one course at a time, and your early classes are built to help you shake off any rust and get back into healthy academic habits. We help you slowly learn how to build time for studying and coursework into your schedule, and assignments are designed around that shift. You’ll also learn with a cohort of classmates going through the same thing you are with similar goals. Study groups are encouraged and can help you tap into other students’ knowledge.

You Are Never in This Alone

Our professors are also there to help you navigate the journey. They help students just like you tackle academic life, and they can offer you solutions you may not have considered. Our professors’ approach to classes is tailored to help you graduate. And Trevecca graduates are also ready to lend a helping hand. Our alumni network can help you navigate your program and serve as professional connections when you graduate. When you are in an advanced degree program at Trevecca, you are never on the journey alone. There is always someone there to help support you.

Of course, graduate degree programs are challenging, and we don’t want to pretend that there won’t be difficulties along the way. But we are always working to make sure you have the tools and mentorship you need to overcome any challenges that you encounter. When you graduate, you’ll do so knowing that you had support, but the accomplishment will be entirely your own.
