Meet the rest of our team. These students are our post production specialists, They will not be traveling overseas with us, but are an essential part of editing and putting the film together after the trip. They pull the documentary together. Here is a little bit about each of them.

Conner Adams.jpgConner Adams is a sophomore film and TV production major from Franklin, Tennessee. He is also an actor and has been on several shows, including CMT’s “Nashville.”

Adams said he originally didn’t plan to apply for the project, because he knew he couldn’t afford the trip — but after talking to Professor Conley, he decided to still play a part in the project by working on post production.

He is excited to be a part of the project in a different way.

I’m most excited to be able to make the introduction for the video, to really set the mind of the viewers up for the spiritual adventure that I hope this documentary will be,” he said.

He said he is a little concerned about cranking out the film and completing the editing by the end of May.

“The timeframe the post-production team has to work in makes me a little nervous,” he said. “…but I’m confident that we will be able to pump out some amazing work, worthy of the documentary.”

He feels confident that he can do his job after taking many courses in film and media.

“Professor Conley is a fantastic teacher, and continually has me striving to do better,” he said.

Elijah Ridley .jpgElijah Ridley is a sophomore film and TV production major from Fairview, Tennessee. He is left defender for the TNU men’s soccer team, sings in a local band, and was invited to try out for the US Paralympic National Soccer Team. He’s been doing film since freshman year of high school

Ridley decided to join the trip when Professor Conley spoke asked him to head up the post production team.

“I was unable to afford to make the trip,” he said.

He said he has no fears going into the project and is excited to see how the it turns out.

“I am excited to see how it turns out and to hear all the awesome stories from my awesome friends who get to go,” he said.

He said he has learned a lot from Professor Conley and feels prepared because of his classes with him.

I know what he expects,” he said. “…a high level of professionalism and quality. So by hiring professor Conley, [Trevecca] has prepared me to succeed.”

004.jpgAnnalizia Cordova is a senior media arts and studies major from Plymouth, Massachusetts. She started making videos when she was 14 years old and does her best video editing work from 1-3 a.m. She believes she is the best person to be friends with, because she always carries snacks due to having type 1 diabetes.

She said she decided to apply for the project because it includes her two favorite things.

Outside of school, I primarily create videos for my local church,” she said. “Any project that pulls together video production and theology is exactly what I love doing.”

She said she’s excited to work on this project, because she loves working with big groups of people.

“I’m excited to get to work on a project of this size,” she said. “I love getting to work with other students who are excited about the creative process and who are really good at what they do. Usually for classes everyone works on their own individual projects so it’s great to get to come together like this.”

Cordova said she is a little worried about trying to work with footage she hasn’t filmed and experiences firsthand, but knows they will overcome it.

“It’s always interesting to work with footage when you’ve been sort of removed from the production process. I think that will be a challenge,” she said.

Kip Kenerly.jpgKip Kenerly is a junior media arts and studies major from Memphis, Tennessee. He spends most of his weekends hiking with his friends and going on adventurous photoshoots.

Kenerly said he decided to apply for the trip after a talk with Professor Conley when he found out he didn’t have to go overseas to be involved.

“I knew it wasn’t in my budget to go on the trip over to Israel, but I still wanted to be involved with the project,” he said. “I spoke with Prof. Conley and he told me that I would still be able to help out on the team as part of the post-production crew.”

He said he’s excited to get a new perspective on film after working on a documentary with Jared Callahan last summer.

“My focus then was on filming. Now I’ll be on the other side of the spectrum with editing and graphical layout. I’m excited to get a taste of something new with this project. I’m ready for a challenge,” he said.

Kenerly said he isn’t nervous because he is confident the team going overseas is going to do a great job which makes his job easier. He feels prepared to the task.

“I’ve been taking different film classes for three years now so I believe I am ready to play my part on the team,” he said.
