Here are our team members for Camera Crew B. They will be focusing on capturing B-roll on the trip. Here is a little bit about each of them and their positions.

IMG_2751.jpgDiana Corzine is a junior organizational communications major from Plant City, Florida. She is the youngest of four sisters whose names consecutively start with the first four letters of the alphabet. She’s also played soccer for 17 years and has read the Harry Potter series five times.

Corzine is the field producer for camera crew B. She said the decision to apply for the Israel trip was easy. She knew she needed to be a part of the crew and her decision reached far beyond film.

“I’m going to be walking where Jesus walked,” she said. “I’m going to touch the stone where his cross was placed. I’m going to be experiencing the history of my faith in an entirely new way.”

She said she is nervous going into the trip about her lack of experience and worries about making mistakes.

“I know how much we all want this project to be successful and to be done well. Together, we are a team of 15 students and we all still have relatively very little experience,” she said.

Corzine said this will be a great opportunity to gain that experience and she feels confident thanks to valuable support from her friends and professors.

“Professor Conley in particular has been an incredible teacher and what experience I do have, I owe to him,” she said.

She is excited and ready to head overseas and watch the scripture come to life.

“The opportunity to gain experience in documentary filmmaking is incredible, but honestly, it is nothing to how much I believe this is going to mean for me in my faith,” she said.

Antonio Guerrero headshot .jpgAntonio Guerrero is a history and media arts major from Nashville, Tennessee. He is six foot four and used to play rugby as a lock.

Guerrero is the director of photography on the trip. He decided to apply for the project, because he was interested in the history of Israel.

“Most of my historical research has been based on the Middle East and Israel,” he said.

He said he is looking forward to seeing his research come to life on the trip and to follow the footsteps of Jesus.

He said he isn’t nervous about much except, “getting bit by a snake or stung by a scorpion.”

Guerrero also said he’s had lots of projects and opportunities to sharpen his skills at Trevecca and feels ready to test them out in another country.

Kelly Boyer headshot.jpgKelly Boyer is a junior media arts and studies major from St. Augustine, Florida. She has been writing and storytelling since middle school.

Boyer is the production assistant for camera crew B on the trip. She decided to join the trip, because it sounded like a fun opportunity to see things that some people never get to see.

“I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to work on a video team such as ours doing something so amazing,” she said.

She said she’s been wanting to go to Israel for awhile now and getting to go with her friends makes it even better. She just hopes that the exhausting circumstances won’t cause tension amongst the group.

“We’re all friends and I know that stressful and tiring circumstances can test people and push them to their limits,” she said. “A trip such as this is super cool and all — and with friends it’s so much better — unless you’re at your wit’s end with them.”

Boyer has no concerns on being able to perform her duties, though. She said her job working with the sports live broadcasting team has helped her learn to think three steps ahead while filming.

“While we’re in Israel, we’ll be seeing lots of places and because of that, we may not have a lot of time to film things in one specific location,” she said. “So knowing what we need and how we need to get it as soon as we hit the ground will be vital to our success as a team.”
