Trevecca named among top 10 colleges in Tennessee in WalletHub ranking

Trevecca Nazarene University is ranked among the top 10 colleges and universities in Tennessee, according to WalletHub. The personal finance website released its 2019’s Best College and University Rankings on Oct. 22.

In a study designed to help college-bound high school seniors make informed choices, WalletHub compared nearly 1,000 higher education institutions in the United States across 30 key measures grouped into seven categories such as student selectivity, cost and financing and career outcomes.

Trevecca ranked ninth in the top 10 Tennessee colleges and universities, with Vanderbilt topping the list. Overall, the University ranked in the 65th percentile of the 951 institutions included in the ranking. Trevecca and Lipscomb University were the only two Council of Christian Colleges and Universities member institutions to make the list of top Tennessee schools.

Of the five private, Christian institutions included in the top 10 list of Tennessee colleges and universities, Trevecca ranked first in the “Campus Experience” category. This ranking is determined by a weighted system that includes factors such as the number of international students enrolled, gender and racial diversity and the average earning from on-campus employment among other factors.
