Trevecca Baseball | Whitaker's Three Hits, Two RBIs Lift Trojans to Comeback win at C-N
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – It's not how you start, it's how you finish. On Tuesday, for the second time this season against the Carson Newman University Eagles, the Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team proved that age old maxim true.
Trevecca (27-12) did not get their first hit until the sixth inning on Tuesday at Carson Newman (21-16), but the Trojans erased a 3-0 deficit to take a comeback win over the Eagles for the second time in 2026, this one a 5-4 win in 11 innings. Senior Isaac Whitaker notched a season-high three hits in the game and knocked in a pair including the game winning tally.
