Trevecca Baseball | Trojans Fall Victim to Big Inning in Loss at UAH; Home for Final Four Games Next Week
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – After a red-hot start to the Gulf South Conference season, the Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team has come back to earth hard over the last four conference weekends. The Trojans have faced three of the tougher opponents in that span - with trips to West Alabama and the University of Alabama-Huntsville around a home weekend against Delta State, and now, heading into the final week of the regular season, the Trojans have to find a way to circle the wagons to build some momentum heading into the postseason.
A big inning against was the story on Saturday afternoon, as the Trojans (28-17, 18-12 GSC) allowed UAH (20-21, 15-15 GSC) to plate nine runs in the bottom half of the fifth inning, as UAH swept the series with an 11-8 win.
