NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After a red-hot start to the 2026 season, the Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team has hit the skids a bit over the last three weekends. The Trojans entered play on Saturday looking to avoid dropping their third straight weekend set in GSC play, and while the Trojans had their chances, they were unable to find the timely hit in game one, and it cost the series win, though the Trojans did salvage the finale.
Trevecca (28-14, 18-9 GSC) left runners in scoring position in four different innings in game one, and they dropped the game to Delta State (23-16, 16-11) 5-4. In game two, the Trojans were able to find two key hits, including a go-ahead two run homer from Isaac Whitaker as the Trojans took the series finale, 5-3.
