NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Pitching has been a big part of the story for the Trevecca Nazarene University baseball story in 2026. Trevecca has pitched well in the Gulf South Conference slate, but on Friday, they ran into a deep and talented offense from Delta State University.
DSU (22-15, 15-10 GSC) took the lead on the second batter of the game, and the Statesmen never looked back. Trevecca (27-13, 17-8 GSC) had a hard time getting their offense going in the game, and the Trojans dropped the series opener to the Statesmen 15-0.
