HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – When the Gulf South Conference announced their preseason poll for the 2025-26 women's basketball season, the Trevecca Nazarene University Trojans were picked 11th out of 12 teams. That didn't seem tremendously out of place at the time, considering Trevecca finished 10th in the GSC in their maiden voyage in the league, Suffice it to say, though, that year one of the Doug Novak era was a resounding success.
Trevecca (18-11) wrapped up their 2025-26 slate on Thursday night, and with it their first season under Novak, in the GSC Championship semifinal where the fourth-seeded Trojans fell to the University of Alabama-Huntsville Chargers (28-4). The Chargers were the top seed in the Championship after having won the regular season title.
