AMERICUS, Ga. – The 2026 season opening weekend continued on Saturday under adverse conditions for the Trevecca Nazarene University Baseball team. The Trojans continued their weekend set with the Georgia Southwestern State University Hurricanes, and with temps dipping below the freezing mark and sustained winds of 20 miles per hour, the Trojans were able to dent the scoreboard, but Trevecca was again unable to take the win.
Trevecca (0-2) plated six runs on Saturday, but the Trojans struggled to keep the Hurricanes (2-0) at bay, and Georgia Southwestern State took the win, again in seven innings, 16-6.
