HILLSDALE, Mich. -  The 2024 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships kicked off the championships at Hayden Park, situated on the campus of Hillsdale College May 1-3, 2024, today.

This year's event holds particular significance as it marks the tenth anniversary of the G-MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships and is the final year the Trojans will participate; the team is moving to the Gulf South Conference starting next season.

Today brought several good performances on the opening day. Dayton Floyd is sixth through five events in the Decathlon, bringing in 3,088 points and a win in the 400m run a second-place finish in the 100m Dash

Campbell Johnson is sixth through four events in the Heptathlon with 2,014 points.

Samanthan Roberts recorded a school record with her fifth-place finish in the 10,000m Run.

The Heptathlon and Decathlon finish on Thursday and a heavy schedule for both the men and women.
