Alumni and other members of the Trevecca community are accomplishing great things. Here are some recent achievements and recognitions of note, listed chronologically by class: 
 
Class of 1967 - Class of 1999

  • Dell Taylor Miller (’67) was inducted into the Columbus State University Hall of Fame in Columbus, Ga.
  • Randall Cook (’71) was named lead evaluator for Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.  
  • Gary Van Atta (’79) was named the women’s basketball coach at Nashville Christian School.
  • Beverly Sharpe (’84) was named 2022 Principal of the Year for Wilson County Schools at Mt. Juliet High School in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.  
  • Anita Coleman (’87) was named Decatur County Teacher of the Month in Tennessee.
  • Tim Bryant (’90) was named director of Wilson County Fellowship for Christian Athletes.
  • Leeanne Leftwich (’93) was named principal of Bonsack Elementary in Roanoke, Va.  
  • Todd Gee (’95) joined the Bone and Joint Institute’s urgent care as a physician assistant.  
  • Faye Hodgin (’95, ’23) was named director of clinical education and associate professor for Cedarville University’s physician assistant program.  
  • Jason Vickers (’95) joined the Baylor University staff as a professor of Christian Theology as well as being the inaugural holder of the William J. Abraham Chair of Wesleyan Studies.  
  • Beth Duffield (’97) was appointed to the board of directors of Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee as the director of early career engagement.  
  • Todd Murphy (’97) was named director of human resources at Polk County Schools in Tennessee.  
  • Tony Burks II (‘98) was appointed as the newest member of the Human Relations Commission for the city of Atlanta and selected as the ice Chair of the Commission in Atlanta, Ga. 
  • Jamie Brooks (’99) was appointed as the chancellor of the seventh Judicial District by Governor Bill Lee. 
  • Jim McCoy (’99) was named president of Clinical Asset Management at TRIMEDX.

Class of 2000 - Class of 2009

  • Karen Hoskins (’00) was named principal of Barksdale Elementary. 
  • Shelly Robinson (’01) was hired as a new principal at Tom Joy Elementary School. 
  • Steven Sorrell (’03) was named head of school for All Saints’ Episcopal School in Morristown, Tenn. 
  • Jeff Fuller (’04) was named vice president of Analytics Delivery at Divurgent. 
  • Marcus Heaston (’04) was named CEO of Heaston and Associates, Inc., as Community Development Specialist.  
  • Wade Munday (’04) was named director of corporate philanthropy and social impact at Bridgestone Americas, Inc. 
  • Rebekah Cashin (’06) was hired as a physician assistant for orthopedic urgent care clinics at Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee.  
  • Anne Marie Fawbush (’06, ’19) was promoted to national director for ultrasound commercial operations in the U.S. and Canada at GE Healthcare. 
  • Scott Langford (’06) was named director of schools by the Sumner County Board of Education in Tennessee.
  • Ryne Mimbs (’07) was named digital learning specialist at Garrison-Pilcher Elementary in Thomasville, Ga. 
  • Justin Barden (’08) was named director of schools for McKenzie Special School District in Tennessee.  
  • Jimmy Lee Day II (’08) was named Teacher of the Year by the Colorado Department of Education.
  • Bruce Jackson (’08) was hired as a new principal at McGavock High School in Nashville. 
  • Jennifer Yokom (’08) was hired as principal of Springdale Elementary School in Wilson County, Tenn.
  • Jennifer Brownlee (’09) was named principal at Calvin Donaldson Elementary School in Chattanooga.  
  • Madeline W. Saxton (’09) was named to the Mississippi Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40” list. 
  • Corey Wilson (’09) was promoted to sergeant at the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Class of 2010 - Class of 2019

  • Daniel Jetton (’10) was presented with the Spark Award for Entrepreneurship by the BBB of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.  
  • Bryan Johnson (’10) was appointed executive vice chancellor and chief strategy officer at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.  
  • Amanda Muniz (’10, ’18) was named principal at Moore Elementary School in Franklin, Tenn. 
  • Carol A. Moore (’11) joined the staff of Apostolic Christian Academy as a teacher. 
  • Sonia Stewart (’11) was selected as a part of the seventh cohort of Future Chiefs by Chiefs of Change. 
  • Brian Trundle (’11) was named discipleship pastor at Chattanooga Valley Nazarene Church in Tennessee. 
  • Justan Vance (’11) was promoted to sergeant at the Metro Nashville Police Department.  
  • C.J. Bethea (’12) was named director of Trevecca’s Laborers in the Vineyard program. 
  • Tonja L. Williams (’12) was named head of school at New Hope Academy in Franklin, Tenn. 
  • Nick Polk (’15, ’23) was hired as an English teacher at Barry Tatum Academy in Lebanon, Tenn. 
  • Brad Biggerstaff (’16) was named pastor at Downey United Methodist Church in Downey, Calif. 
  • Missy Acosta (’17) was named in Nashville Business Journal’s 2023 “Women of Influence” list. 
  • Josh Crowe (’18) is a co-pastor at Himesville Church of the Nazarene with his wife in Shelbyville, Tenn.  
  • Cheyenne Hunter (’18) was named lead pharmacy performance specialist at Monogram Health. 
  • Michael Arseneau (’19) was named pastor at Newberg Nazarene Church in Oregon.  
  • Caitlin Bullard (’19, ’20) was named principal at the Discovery School in Murfreesboro, Tenn. 
  • Olivia Chapman (’19) was named women’s head basketball coach at the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Ala. 
  • Alyssa Murphy-Smith (’19) was promoted to PTX program manager at Amazon. 
  • Jess Montero (’19) was named senior human resources manager at Big Machine Label Group.  
  • Dennis Sparks (’19) was promoted to senior systems integration engineer and developer at Contexture.  
  • Contrecia Tharpe (’19) was named to the Nashville Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40” list.  
  • Clayton Williams (’19) was promoted to captain at the Murfreesboro Police Department in Rutherford County, Tenn.

  • Dr. Christopher Laney (’20) was named director of government affairs and workforces at Lightcast.  
  • Lucero Lizzet Ocampo (’20) was promoted to member engagement specialist at Guild Education in Clarksville, Tenn. 
  • David Friedlein (’21) was named assistant city manager of Pharr, Texas.  
  • Hillary Locke (’21) was named an adjunct instructor for the College of Education at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tenn.  
  • Alisa Bledsoe Wilson (’21) was named assistant professor at the University of Tennessee at Martin in Martin, Tenn.  
  • Kamilah Mathews (’21) was hired as principal of A.Z. Kelly Elementary in Antioch, Tenn. 
  • Regan Ringler (’21) was crowned Miss Tennessee USA 2023. 
  • Nikayla Boyd (’22) was named executive director of the Tennessee Community Health Worker Association. 
  • Riley Cook (’22) was hired as a fifth-grade teacher in Robertson County, Tenn.  
  • Sara Hammad (’22) was promoted to assistant principal as an elementary instructional coach and assessment coordinator. 
  • Cody Hinson (’22) graduated from Brentwood Police Academy in Brentwood, Tenn. 
  • Bradley Jones (’22) was promoted to executive vice president of HC Intellect, LLC. 
  • Christi Maldonado (’22) was hired as an assistant professor at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn.

  • Admissions. Aimee McCroskey (’22) was named lead pastor at Penn Yan Church of the Nazarene in Penn Yan, N.Y.  
  • Veronica McKenzie (’22) was named LMS administrator for Ochsner Health. 
  • Andrea McInnhis (’22) joined Life Counseling Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn.  
  • Julia Rogers (’22) joined Refuge Center for Counseling as a contract therapist in Franklin, Tenn.  
  • Danielle Shutes (’22) was named center director of Tyson Learning Center in Humboldt, Tenn. 
  • Gwendolyn Sutton (’22) was named president of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) located in Memphis. 
  • Jaden Tabb (’22) was named a mental health counselor at Imani Behavioral Health in Nashville.  
  • Lindsey White (’22) was named a content writer for Asurion in Nashville. 
  • Mirka Alarcon (’23) started as a registered nurse in a nurse residency program at Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville.  
  • Eleanor Buffler (’23) was hired as a fourth-grade teacher in Franklin, Tenn. 
  • Lee George (’23) was hired as a music director and worship leader at Hope Culpeper Community Church of the Nazarene in Culpeper, Va.  
  • Cardenas Fernandez (’23) was hired as an area manager at Amazon. 
  • Crisiam Lopez (’23) was hired as a product design engineer at DENSO in Maryville, Tenn. 
  • Daniela Barahona Miranda (’23) was hired as a behavioral health screener and administrative assistant at Mercy Community Healthcare in Nashville.  
  • Heather Rector (’23) was hired as a full-time therapist at River Tree Center in Nashville. 
  • Grace Santos (’23) was hired as an associate marketing manager at Best American Hospitality in Nashville.
