Moses Visits Trevecca and Gives Advice to Students

Trevecca students had a once in a lifetime opportunity recently: the chance to meet Moses.

Wasim No’mani, who portrays Moses in the new mockumentary series The Promised Land, stopped by the Quad with a microphone, ready to offer “Moses’ advice” to students about everything from relationships to midterms.

Students gathered on the lawn to ask Moses for guidance, and No’mani—fully in character—didn’t disappoint. With a mix of comedic one-liners and some serious spiritual wisdom, he reflected the same mix of heart and humor that defines his show.

The Promised Land imagines the book of Exodus told in the style of The Office—a workplace comedy set in the wilderness. Created by a team of filmmakers who “love the Bible and the humor in it,” the series brings to life the humanity of Moses and the Israelites in a fresh, funny and surprisingly honest way.

Season 1 of The Promised Land premiered October 1 and releases new episodes weekly. It can be seen at thepromisedlandseries.tv and on YouTube.
