As the Predators move closer to the Stanley Cup, Trevecca is learning what this experience looks like from the inside. Follow along as alumni and students share their experiences while working for the Preds organization.
Braydon Brown, a recent Trevecca grad, is a premium seats coordinator with the Preds organization. He shared with us what his time with the Preds has been like.
Tell us about your job. What are your responsibilities within the organization?
I’m the premium seats coordinator. I’m responsible for the service of our suite holders and premium seat clients and day-to-day contact for all their needs throughout the season. I also manage suite levels and staff during concerts and events at Bridgestone Arena.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of the job is seeing everything come together on game night. We work all week to make sure everyone has tickets, food is ordered, VIP clients are taken care of, birthdays are celebrated, staff is scheduled, rental suites are sold, and it is all worth it once everyone is in the arena enjoying the game.
What is it like being a part of the Preds organization and going to the Stanley Cup?
The Stanley Cup run has been pure excitement. Seeing the city rally around the team has been amazing. Everywhere you go you see gold banners, flags, car stickers and apparel. You are busy from the moment you get to work until the moment you leave, but you are only 1 of 2 NHL teams that are still preparing for games so that is exciting.
What has been the best moment this season?
The best moment was when the Predators scored the first empty net goal in game 6 of round 3 vs. Anaheim. Up until that point the Stanley Cup finals were a dream that we had been preparing for weeks. But once that goal happened, the Stanley Cup finals were real, and we were going to be a part of them.
