Trevecca will be offering a Master of Science in strategic communication beginning in spring 2024.

The master’s in strategic communication is an online program that will equip students to grow as leaders who can effectively plan and oversee all aspects of communication. With a focus on ethical decision making and powerful storytelling, this program empowers students to become effective communication leaders who can drive meaningful impact in organizations and in society. Courses will include media relations, crisis communication, leadership, digital and social media and video production.

Prior to the program launch, a four-week, self-paced online training series entitled ‘From Chaos to Clarity: Crisis Communication for Strategic Leaders’ will be offered as a professional development opportunity for anyone interested. Offered for only $99, the training is designed to equip executives and communications leaders with essential skills and knowledge to navigate the storm of a crisis and transform challenges into opportunities. The tutorial can also serve as a preview of the full degree program for prospective students.

"This program is designed not just to increase storytelling and communication skills, but to help students become strategic leaders in messaging and communication in any organization," program director Jo Ellen Werking Weedman said.

The graduate degree in strategic communication is part of a roster of more than 20 master’s programs at Trevecca that allow students take their education and careers to the next level.
