Trevecca Nazarene University will launch a new master’s program in human performance and fitness in fall 2023, school officials announced recently. The degree will equip students to pursue a variety of careers in strength and conditioning, human performance, health and fitness, personal training and exercise science.

The program is ideal for recent graduates of undergraduate programs, sports coaches, strength and conditioning coaches, trainers and training facility owners/managers.

According to Aaron Hall, associate professor of exercise science, the benefits of completing the fully online Master of Science in human performance and fitness program include receiving a degree that is focused specifically on improving the effectiveness of training individuals to maximize their athletic performance and overall fitness, among many other benefits.

“There will also be extensive preparation for passing strength and conditioning certification exams and training on how to effectively manage and lead a training facility,” Hall said. “Our students will learn from licensed clinicians who are putting the program material into practice with their own clients.”
