Guests numbering in the thousands joined Trevecca’s administration and faculty in celebrating TNU’s spring 2022 graduating class during two outdoor commencement ceremonies at Trevecca’s campus on Saturday, May 7.

Between the two outdoor convocations, more than 1,100 new Trevecca graduates received their degrees. The event marked a return to the traditional one-day commencement for the first time in three years.

"Today, Trevecca offers the world the gift of these graduates."

“Today, Trevecca offers the world the gift of these graduates,” Trevecca Provost Dr. Tom Middendorf said. “This grand occasion is one of celebration, but also of deep conviction as students educated by our Christian community are sent out for leadership and service.”

Reaching an academic goal was only one cause for celebration for many graduates who completed their journey at Trevecca.

“My time at Trevecca was special not only because I received a great education, but because of the community, camaraderie and encouragement I felt from my cohort and professors,” MBA graduate Jai Starling said. “I feel that God directed me here in part because of the level of support I needed as I walked through a difficult season in life. It’s beyond anything I would’ve imagined, and I’ve made lifelong friends here.”

The commencement ceremony for undergraduate degrees took place at 9 a.m., and the ceremony for graduates with advanced degrees took place at 2 p.m.
