Many of Trevecca’s graduate programs are garnering national attention, as recently released rankings attest. Touting criteria such as affordability, flexibility and academics, rankings from Best Colleges Online, Great Business Schools and other organizations listed several of Trevecca’s programs among the best of the best in the country.

Trevecca’s Master of Public Administration program ranked in the top 20 in Best Colleges Online ranking of Top 50 Affordable Accelerated Online MPA Programs 2021, outranking Villanova, Grand Canyon University and Eastern Kentucky University.

Best Colleges Online reviewed more than 150 colleges and universities across the nation, evaluating them according to program length and format, accreditation, national rankings and affordability.

Dr. Phil Rickard, director of Trevecca’s Master of Public Administration program, credits the honor to the novel approach Trevecca takes toward the program.

“Trevecca’s master’s program in public administration is a tangible way the University lives out our mission to shape servant leaders,” Rickard said. “The theme of the MPA program is to cultivate the servant’s heart. The program represents innovation and features a unique design with a variety of tracks to enhance a student’s career opportunities in either the public sector or nonprofits. Many contributors assist to facilitate these options for students at affordable prices.”

Great Business Schools, a website devoted to helping prospective students make wise choices about where they pursue advanced business degrees, listed Trevecca’s Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program among the top accelerated programs in the country. Offered entirely online, Trevecca’s doctorate in business administration is fourth in the site’s 2021 ranking. Officials praised the program’s academic rigor, including research components built into the curriculum.

In Great Business Schools’ methodology, colleges and universities were ranked according to student satisfaction, cost and alumni salaries. The ranking uses data obtained from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and Niche.

Dr. Rick Mann, who leads the University’s MBA and DBA programs, says the rankings come as no surprise.

“Trevecca’s graduate business programs have been able to deliver significant value to students by providing an industry-strength MBA and DBA experience that is personalized and affordable,” Mann said.

Trevecca offers the MBA in several formats that students can tailor to fit their lives, from an online, accelerated program to the traditional 22-month program, offered both online and in-person. Trevecca’s DBA program, offered entirely online allows students to customize their coursework to fit their career goals, with tracks in higher education, consulting and coaching, enterprise leading and managing and health care administration.

The accolades don’t stop with individual programs.

Business Degree Central named Trevecca among the best in the state when it comes to graduate-level business education. Trevecca also ranked fourth in the website’s 2021 ranking of best business schools in Tennessee, ahead of Union University, Middle Tennessee State University and Tennessee State University.

Students are also taking notice of what Trevecca has to offer, reflected in the growing enrollment in nontraditional and graduate programs. The Nashville Business Journal recently ranked Trevecca among the 20 largest graduate schools in the state in the publication's recent “Largest Graduate Schools of Business in Tennessee” list, published in November 2020.

Trevecca ranked fifth in enrollment, higher than several other Middle Tennessee colleges and universities, such as Lipscomb University and Belmont University’s Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business.
