The annual Report Card evaluates educator preparation providers (EPPs) across Tennessee and highlights statewide progress in strengthening the educator workforce. This year’s results reflect continued growth in teacher candidates, increased early-career retention rates and expanded preparation in high-demand subject areas critical to meeting workforce needs.

“This recognition reflects the dedication of our faculty, the excellence of our candidates and the strength of our partnerships with local school districts,” said Dr. Yolanda Statom, director of teacher education at Trevecca. She emphasized that the achievement is deeply rooted in the School of Education's broader mission: to model competence, character and compassion so Trevecca students emulate and embrace these qualities in service and leadership.

Trevecca’s designation affirms the University’s commitment to preparing highly effective, classroom-ready educators who are equipped to lead and serve from day one, according to administrators.

“At Trevecca, we are committed not only to preparing outstanding teachers, but to developing educators who lead with purpose, integrity and a heart for service,” School of Education Dean Dr. Suzann Harris said.

Through rigorous classroom experiences, strong district partnerships and a focus on both academic excellence and character formation, Trevecca continues to play a vital role in strengthening Tennessee’s educator pipeline. Graduates of the program are making an impact in classrooms across the state as well-prepared, compassionate, highly-skilled teachers.
