Social justice writer and blogger Jo Saxton to speak in chapel

March 12, 2018

Author, blogger, podcast host and speaker Jo Saxton will speak in Trevecca’s chapel service on Thursday, March 15.

This will kick off a weekend of speaking engagements at Trevecca for Saxton, who will also serve as a keynote speaker at the Seek Justice Conference, held March 16-17. Sponsored by Trevecca’s J.V. Morsch Center for Social Justice, the conference is designed to help attendees take a fresh look at the Christian call to seek justice in a modern world. Saxton will speak about biblical social during the conference. Learn more here.

Saxton is currently serving as the chair of the board for 3DM, a nonprofit that teaches churches about discipleship and missions. In addition, she also co-hosts a podcast called “Lead Stories: Tales of Leadership in Life” with Steph O’Brien. Her most recent book, The Dream of You: Let Go of Broken Identities and Live the Life You Were Made For, is centered on helping people tackle their pasts and live better futures.

Saxton is also a church planter, leadership coach, and has served on church staff at churches in both the United States and U.K.

Saxton says that every time she speaks, she wants to challenge her listeners in three ways, to:

  • engage in missional living and discipleship;
  • empower women to lean into their leadership and influence; and
  • equip leaders to lead from the inside out and reframe their vision and purpose.
