Dr. Terrence Schofield, associate provost of mission excellence and reconciliation at Trevecca, received the Excellence in Community Engagement Award from the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (NAHCC).

This honor was given as part of NAHCC’s 2024 Business & Community Excellence Awards in recognition of Schofield's dedication to bridging the gap between academia and the local community, and his active role in community development and collaboration with organizations like the NAHCC.

The Chamber looks at accomplishments, leadership, a commitment to service and support for the Hispanic business community in Nashville.

Schofield has been involved with diversity leadership and mental health throughout his career. Before arriving at Trevecca, he served as director of social services at The Helin Institute in Sacramento, California; resident clinical psychologist at Abingdon Psychological Services in Virginia; and director of global diversity for Promise Keepers.
