Record Freshman Class Helps Trevecca Set New Mark in Traditional Undergraduate Enrollment

In setting a new enrollment record for incoming freshmen, Trevecca Nazarene University is beginning the 2025-2026 academic year with its largest-ever group of traditional undergraduate students.
Having enrolled and started the semester with more than 460 new freshmen and about 550 new undergraduate students overall, Trevecca has more than 1,600 traditional undergraduates enrolled for the first time in school history. That follows another year of record enrollment in 2024-2025.
“Since last summer, we’ve welcomed more new students to campus than in any other two-year period in our history,” said Melinda Miller, vice president of enrollment at Trevecca. “It’s been a joy to help a record number of students acclimate as they prepare for a fulfilling, successful college journey.”
Residential student occupancy is also at its highest point in school history, with residential space on Trevecca’s campus nearly filled to capacity. That includes University Commons, a seven-story building that opened for upper-level student housing in fall 2023.
The undergraduate total includes a record number of high school students participating in dual enrollment. More than 200 students were participating in Trevecca’s program to begin the academic year, and that number is expected to grow throughout the fall semester.
Classes for traditional undergraduates began on Tuesday, August 26. Final enrollment numbers will be available in mid-September after the University’s official census. Last year, the school reached 1,500 total new enrollees for the first time across all levels, including 530 new traditional undergraduate students.
