Recent graduates of Trevecca Nazarene University’s physician assistant (PA) program have continued a trend in outstanding certification pass rates, as the 2025 class became the fifth consecutive group to earn a 100 percent first-time pass rate on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination® (PANCE).

With each of Trevecca’s 2025 graduates passing the exam on the first attempt, Trevecca’s PA program is carrying forward an academic reputation for exceeding national benchmarks, surpassing the national average PANCE pass rate of 95 percent. Physician assistant graduates who pass the PANCE are certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Established in 1976, Trevecca’s PA program is the first and longest-tenured in Tennessee. In 2022, the program moved into a new 33,000-square-foot Health Sciences Building on Trevecca’s campus near downtown Nashville.
