Recent graduates of Trevecca Nazarene University’s physician assistant (PA) program have continued a trend in outstanding certification pass rates, as the 2024 class became the fourth consecutive group to earn a 100 percent first-time pass rate on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination® (PANCE).
With each of Trevecca’s 2024 graduates passing the exam on the first attempt, Trevecca’s PA program is carrying forward an academic reputation for exceeding national benchmarks. Trevecca has a 99 percent first-time taker PANCE pass rate over the last five years, compared with a national average of 95 percent. Physician assistant graduates who pass the PANCE are certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Established in 1976, Trevecca’s PA program is the first and longest-tenured in Tennessee. In 2022, the program moved into a new 33,000-square-foot Health Sciences Building on Trevecca’s campus near downtown Nashville.
