Beginning with the fall 2026 admission cycle, Trevecca will reserve 10 seats in each entering cohort of its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program for qualified Nashville State health science graduates.
The agreement creates a clear, supportive pathway that allows students to transition smoothly from Nashville State’s associate-level preparation into Trevecca’s bachelor’s program in nursing, increasing their access to advanced education and improved career opportunities.
To be considered for one of the reserved spots, students must:
Graduate from Nashville State with an Associate of Science in health sciences, including completion of the designated prerequisite courses.
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Submit a completed application to Trevecca Nazarene University.
Satisfy all admission requirements for Trevecca’s BSN program, such as interviews, drug screening, and background checks, as specified by Trevecca.
“This partnership reflects Nashville State’s commitment to student success,” said Donna Whitehouse, dean of the NSCC School of Health Sciences. “By creating a seamless transfer opportunity, we are helping students continue their education with confidence and purpose.”
Nashville State’s Associate of Science in health sciences program provides students with essential academic preparation for health‑related careers and professional programs, including nursing. Through transfer partnerships like this one, students are able to complete prerequisite coursework at the associate level and continue efficiently into baccalaureate nursing education.
“Trevecca continues to grow our footprint in key areas where leadership and service make a real impact on our community,” Trevecca Provost Dr. Tom Middendorf said. “Nursing is one of those areas, and we are relentlessly pursuing excellence in these initiatives. Nashville State has always been a great partner, and we are excited to provide pathways to build on the good foundation they set through their graduates.”
