Trevecca’s baseball team is anticipating a dominant season after ranking number one in the 2022 National College Baseball Writers Association Division II Midwest Region Preseason Poll for the first time in the school’s history.
The announcement comes on the heels of the NCBWA Division II Preseason Poll that ranked the Trojans sixth nationally. This is their highest ranking to date in the NCAA II division era.
The preseason ranking is an improvement over the 2021 regional poll where they ranked ninth, following a trip to the NCAA College World Series and a 36-13 record.
Senior Outfielder Braden Odom has been a standout in the league and is one of 14 players from the NCBWA Division II Midwest Region to be named to the preseason All-Midwest team.
The Trojan’s season will open on February 11 at Jackson Field on Trevecca’s campus against Rockhurst.
